Youth unemployment in The UK

The United Kingdom is suffering from having three quarters of young people not employed. Source?  “More than 650,000 young people are classified as NEETs (not in education, employment, or training), or 9 percent of the total. The number of under-25s in work has fallen rapidly since 2008.” Associated Newspapers (2012).That might cause uncountable numbers of problems. Young people find it hard to search for a job. If young people do not have something to live for, they will feel disappointed and the will have a miserable life. Former Bank of England governor Sir Mervyn King warned: UK economic activity will be broadly flat until the middle of next year and the country faces a difficult economic environment. Mount,J. (2013). So youth unemplyment is unlikely to fall. The unemployed might be tempted to commit many crimes such as stealing, driving while they are drinking alcohol, selling drugs and kidnapping people, because of their lack of money. For that problem there are many solutions: they should get up early and look for a job even if the salary is low, it may increase in time. The place where they are going to work in should give them a salary for two months to buy new clothes and pay the rent, if they need to live away from their parents and move to a new area. The government should support young people by finding a job for them. The best way is to set up businesses to take them on. That could lead to changing the economy in the country. It seems that the above solutions may alleviate the problem. The big fault is on the people who rely on the future to employ them, instead of going and apply for jobs. Apprenticeship schemes?

feeling different about living and studying in the UK

After living three months in the UK away from my country and family, living independently, many things have changed in my personality in many ways, but also there are still things I have not change in.

Living in the UK is much easier and better than I have expected. In the first month in September I felt homesickness but now it is much lesser, because I have met many new people form my country. I have used to adapt to live in Cardiff and know the places well. Studying in here is a beneficial step for my future and many aspects in my live have changed to the better.

However, living away from the country and family is a difficult and not everybody can do it.

The advanteges and disadvantages of immigration

There are many advantageous and disadvantageous for having uncountable number of immigrants in a country; it maybe makes the country be better in many ways, or it may cause many problems for the country.

The advantages for having immigrants are:
They have different skills to bring to develop the country they are coming to.
There will be different restaurants and different kinds of foo therefore the public will not get bored. Also in the Fashion way it will change; many immigrants will bring their fashion to other countries, as a result people will have sharing and interchange in the fashion world.
People will gain more knowledge about different cultures and different countries.
The country which receives more immigration will have more business and the economic level of it will increase.
More tolerant between people and they will become more global from inside.

However the disadvantage are less than the benefits of immigration:
 More crimes will happen.
immigrants will not respect the country religion and culture and they will do bad things that injure the country and citizens.
If the immigrants come and takes high level of jobs citizens will have no jobs and the next generation also.

care for the elderly

There are many and big differences in care for the elderly between Qatar and the UK.

In Qatar sons and daughters looks after their parents if they need care, usually the big son take his parents to go to live in his house so he can look after them and know about their health. If all sons go to work and also the daughters, they bring nursing care to the son’s house with all hospital tools needed, which the government provide them freely for the citizens.

However, in the UK they have different system. They have two places specialized to takes care for the elderly people; a residential home and a nursing home, the elderly go and lives in this two places for several of years. The poor people get free social care. But the rich people they will buy for the care until their money reach 72,000 pound.

I think that it is not fair system, because the county should offer everything free for the public. Because they spent the whole live to serve the country, and now the government should return the favor. Also sons and daughters how have rich parents expect to get the wealth after they die, but if the social care let the elderly people buy there will be no big wealth for sons.

should the govermnet legistate agaunist smacking children?

Is the UK government correct to legislate against beating of children by parents?

Yes the government should put rules for the parents who are beating their children, because if this have repeated many times the children might hurts and they will have a bad head disease.

Should the Walsh Assembly legislate against smacking?

I think that smacking does not hurts like beating to stop it, because it just on the legs. The parents should teach their children by smacking them to show them that they are doing something wrong.

How much do the government rules depend on which society/country/culture a person lives in?

The government rules should be suitable for the country in many ways; life style; culture; tradition; religion and in the economic or development level does the country have. That would be better if the government consider this aspects before head a rule.

Wales Assembly

What is the role of the Assembly?

. Representing Wales and its people
 Making laws for Wales.

Holding the Welsh Government to account.

Do you think it is a good idea for Wales to have its own (lower level) government?

Yes it is better that Wales have its own government because the rules of the whole country (UK) it might be not suitable for the Welsh people.

Would this system be successful in the Gulf state? Central America?

No it won't work right, because Gulf countries are small and do not need to have government for each region. Every country in Gulf has its own rules and they are happy with it. However, America is big country and it should have government for each state to know the citizen's needs.

The advanteges and disadavanteges being in the E.U

After the Second World War the European Union was established in 1957, and it was consist of six countries (West Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Italy). Britain did not enter the E.U because of the special relationship with the USA. later on a lot of countries joined and they are now 25 member countries in the U.E. The population of it today is about 450 million people.
the European Union is running by the European Council, the European of Ministers, the European Parliament, and the European Court of Justice. The aim of the Union is to have freedom in movement, people, money and services. Today U.E member states account for 40 percent of the world trade.
A majority of voters would prefer the UK to be a member of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) than to be in the E.U.
71% of people said that Britain would be better if it a member of the trade group EFTA, But others which is 29% said that Britain should remain a member of the E.U.
EFTA would also would allow Britain to negotiate free trade agreements with countries outside the European Union, in addition, it would become gain a sovereign notion with more power over its domestic affairs.
Although Britain now is a member of the E.U and it enjoys the benefits  it brings, many Britons are living in Europe. British people do not participate widely in the elections for the European Parliament.
